WOODSON’S WARNING: “WE HAVEN’T ARRIVED YET” – INDIANA HOOSIERS COACH SENDS STRONG MESSAGE AFTER… see… more

Bloomington, IN – After Indiana’s impressive 82-69 win over USC, Coach Mike Woodson shared his thoughts on the team’s performance, sending a strong message to his players and fans alike.

“We haven’t arrived yet,” Woodson cautioned. “We still have a lot of work to do. I’m proud of the way our guys played tonight, but we can’t get too high or too low. We have to stay focused and keep working.”

Woodson’s comments came after the Hoosiers dominated the Trojans, leading by as many as 19 points in the second half. Indiana’s offense was clicking on all cylinders, with five players scoring in double figures.

“I thought our guys shared the ball well and made some big shots,” Woodson said. “We also did a great job on the defensive end, holding USC to 69 points. But like I said, we can’t get too comfortable. We have to keep pushing ourselves to get better.”

One player who stood out for Indiana was sophomore guard Jalen Hood-Schifino, who scored a career-high 21 points. Woodson praised Hood-Schifino’s performance, saying he’s starting to see the young guard’s potential.

“Jalen’s a talented kid, and he’s starting to figure some things out,” Woodson said. “He’s working hard and listening to the coaches. I’m proud of the way he’s progressing.”

Despite the win, Woodson also pointed out some areas where the team needs to improve. He mentioned that Indiana struggled with rebounding, getting outmuscled by USC on the glass.

“We have to do a better job rebounding the ball,” Woodson said. “We can’t give up second-chance opportunities like we did tonight. That’s something we’ll work on in practice this week.”

As the Hoosiers prepare for their next game, Woodson’s message is clear: stay focused, stay humble, and keep working. With a talented roster and a experienced coach, Indiana is looking to make a deep run in the NCAA tournament.

“We’re taking it one game at a time,” Woodson said. “We’re not looking ahead or getting too caught up in the hype. We’re just trying to get better every day and see where it takes us.”
