The Collingwood Football Club is in mourning today after the sad news of the passing of former player Brian Turner. Turner, who played for the Magpies from 1964 to 1970, was a beloved member of the Collingwood family and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Turner’s playing career with Collingwood spanned seven seasons, during which time he played 143 games and kicked 14 goals. He was a talented and versatile player who was known for his speed, agility, and endurance. Turner was also a respected leader on the field, serving as vice-captain of the team in 1969.

Off the field, Turner was a quiet and humble man who was deeply respected by his teammates and opponents alike. He was a true gentleman of the game, and his passing has left a huge void in the lives of all who knew him.
