SHOCKING:AS TWO YOUNG PLAYERS ARE COMMITTED FOR TWO MORE YEARS…
The Collingwood Magpies are thrilled to announce that two of their most promising young players, Jack Harrison and Nick DeMattia, have committed to the club for a further two years.
Harrison, 22, and DeMattia, 23, have been instrumental in the Magpies’ resurgence in recent seasons, and their decision to extend their contracts is a major boost for the club.
“We’re absolutely delighted that Jack and Nick have decided to commit to the club for another two years,” said Collingwood’s General Manager of Football, Graham Wright. “Both players have been outstanding for us, and we believe they have a huge role to play in our future success.”
Harrison, a versatile midfielder, has been one of the Magpies’ most consistent performers in recent seasons. He has played 50 games for the club, averaging 20 disposals and 4 tackles per game.
DeMattia, a talented defender, has been a mainstay of the Magpies’ backline since his debut in 2022. He has played 30 games for the club, averaging 15 disposals and 4 marks per game.
Both players expressed their excitement at committing to the Magpies for another two years.
“I’m thrilled to be staying at Collingwood,” said Harrison. “The club has been amazing for me, and I feel like I’ve really found my home here. I’m excited to see what the future holds for us.”
“I’m stoked to be committing to the Pies for another two years,” said DeMattia. “The club has given me so many opportunities, and I’m grateful for the support of the coaches, players, and fans. I’m looking forward to continuing to work hard and contribute to the team’s success.”
The re-signing of Harrison and DeMattia is a major coup for the Magpies, who are building a strong young core of players. The club is confident that both players will continue to play important roles in the team’s success in the years to come.
“We’re building a strong young team here, and Jack and Nick are two of the key players in that team,” said Wright. “We’re excited to see what the future holds for them, and for the club as a whole.”
