In a surprise move, Collingwood Football Club has announced that Graham Wright, the club’s Executive General Manager of Football, will take a six-month leave of absence. The decision, which was made in consultation with Wright and the club’s board, is effective immediately.

Wright, who has been a key figure at Collingwood since joining the club in 2017, will use the leave to focus on his personal and professional development. During his absence, Brendon Bolton, the club’s General Manager of Football, Coaching, and Leadership, will assume Wright’s responsibilities and oversee the club’s football operations.

“Graham has been an integral part of our football department and has played a significant role in shaping our club’s football strategy,” said Collingwood President, Jeff Browne. “We respect his decision to take a break and focus on his personal and professional development. We look forward to his return and continued contribution to our club.”
