The Collingwood Football Club has bid farewell to six players, marking the end of an era for some of the team’s most dedicated and hardworking athletes.
The departing players are John Noble, Joe Richards, Aiden Begg, Jack Bytel, Josh Eyre, and Nathan Kreuger. Each of these players has made significant contributions to the team during their time at Collingwood, and their departures will be deeply felt.
John Noble, a versatile defender, played 63 games for the Magpies over five seasons. He was known for his courage and determination, and was a popular figure among the playing group.
Joe Richards, a key position player, played 21 games for Collingwood over three seasons. He was a talented young player who showed great promise, but unfortunately struggled with injuries during his time at the club.
Aiden Begg, a ruckman, played 14 games for the Magpies over two seasons. He was a developing player who showed great potential, but ultimately decided to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
Jack Bytel, a midfielder, played 13 games for Collingwood over two seasons. He was a hardworking and dedicated player who was respected by his teammates.
Josh Eyre, a forward, played 10 games for the Magpies over two seasons. He was a talented young player who showed great promise, but unfortunately struggled to break into the senior team.
Nathan Kreuger, a key position player, played 9 games for Collingwood over two seasons. He was a developing player who showed great potential, but ultimately decided to pursue opportunities elsewhere.
The departures of these six players mark a significant changing of the guard at Collingwood. The club is undergoing a period of transition, with a number of experienced players departing and new recruits arriving.
“We thank each of these players for their contributions to the club,” said Collingwood General Manager of Football, Graham Wright. “They have all been valued members of our playing group, and we wish them all the best for their future careers.”
The departures of these players will be felt deeply by the Collingwood community, but the club is excited about the opportunities that lie ahead. With a number of new recruits arriving, the Magpies are looking to rebuild and challenge for premiership success in the years to come.
