Just ln:Seahawks’ Coach Mike Macdonald Just Drop A Shocking Message That…
Seattle, WA – December 26, 2024 – Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald expressed his frustration with the team’s inconsistent performance this season. Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Macdonald acknowledged that the Seahawks have struggled to maintain a high level of play throughout the year.
“We’re just not as consistent as we want,” Macdonald said. “We’ve shown flashes of brilliance, but we’ve also had some tough stretches. It’s frustrating, because we know we have the talent and the ability to be a top-notch defense.”
Macdonald’s comments came on the heels of the Seahawks’ 24-20 loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday. Despite a strong effort from the defense, which held the 49ers to just 275 total yards, the Seahawks were unable to capitalize on several scoring opportunities.
“We had our chances, but we just couldn’t seem to get out of our own way,” Macdonald said. “We had some penalties, some missed assignments, and some plays that we just didn’t make. It’s frustrating, because we know we’re better than that.”
Despite the inconsistencies, Macdonald remains optimistic about the Seahawks’ chances of turning their season around. With three games remaining on the schedule, the Seahawks are still in the hunt for a playoff spot.
“We’re not giving up,” Macdonald said. “We’re going to keep fighting, keep grinding, and see where it takes us. We’ve got a lot of heart, and we’re not going to let a few tough losses define us.”
As the Seahawks prepare to face the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, Macdonald is emphasizing the importance of consistency and attention to detail.
“We need to be more consistent in our execution,” he said. “We need to be more disciplined, more focused, and more determined. If we can do that, I think we’ve got a chance to be a really good defense.”
The Seahawks will look to bounce back from their loss to the 49ers when they host the Vikings at Lumen Field on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 1:05 PM PST.
In related news, the Seahawks announced that safety Jamal Adams has been placed on injured reserve with a knee injury. Adams, who has been a key contributor to the Seahawks’ defense this season, will undergo surgery and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
