Collingwood coach Craig McRae has expressed his confidence in his team’s ability to take down St Kilda at the MCG on Thursday night. Speaking to the media ahead of the highly anticipated clash, McRae praised his team’s resilience and determination.
“We’ve had a good preparation, and the boys are feeling confident,” McRae said. “We know it’s going to be a tough game, but we’re ready for the challenge.”
The Magpies are coming off a thrilling win against Carlton in their last outing, and McRae believes that momentum will carry over into Thursday night’s game.
“We took a lot of positives out of the Carlton game,” McRae said. “The way we were able to grind out the win was really impressive, and it’s given us a lot of confidence heading into this week.”
St Kilda, on the other hand, is looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss to Fremantle. The Saints have been inconsistent this season, but McRae is aware of the dangers they pose.
“St Kilda is a talented team, and they’ve got some really dangerous players,” McRae said. “We’ll need to be at our best to contain them, but we’re up for the challenge.”
McRae also provided an update on the team’s injury list, confirming that star forward Jordan De Goey will miss the game with a hamstring injury.
“Jordan’s a big loss, but we’ve got some talented players who can step up and fill the void,” McRae said.
Despite the injury setback, McRae is confident that his team has the depth and talent to overcome St Kilda.
“We’ve got a strong squad, and we’re confident that we can get the job done,” McRae said.
The Magpies will be looking to make it two wins in a row when they take on St Kilda at the MCG on Thursday night. With McRae at the helm, the team is feeling confident and ready to take on the challenge.
“We’re excited to get out there and play,” McRae said. “It’s going to be a great game, and we’re looking forward to it.”
