Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin guided his team to a resounding 52-20 victory over Duke in the Gator Bowl, capping off an impressive season for the Rebels. The win marked Ole Miss’ first bowl victory since 2019 and improved Kiffin’s postseason record to 4-1.

Quarterback Jaxson Dart led the charge for Ole Miss, throwing for 329 yards and two touchdowns while also rushing for 85 yards and a score. The Rebels’ offense was nearly unstoppable, racking up 565 total yards and scoring on seven of their first eight possessions.

“We’re proud of our team for the way they performed today,” Kiffin said in a post-game interview. “We knew Duke was a tough opponent, but our guys came out and executed the game plan to perfection. It’s a great way to cap off the season.”

Ole Miss’ defense was equally impressive, holding Duke to just 291 total yards and forcing three turnovers. The Rebels’ defensive line was particularly dominant, sacking Duke quarterback Riley Leonard four times and limiting the Blue Devils to just 43 rushing yards.

“I’m so proud of our defense for the way they played today,” Kiffin said. “They were physical, they were aggressive, and they made plays when it mattered most. It’s a great testament to the hard work and dedication of our defensive coaches and players.”

The win marked a triumphant end to the season for Ole Miss, which finished with a 9-4 record. The Rebels will look to build on this momentum in the offseason, with Kiffin and his staff already turning their attention to recruiting and preparing for the 2025 season.

“We’re excited about the future of our program,” Kiffin said. “We’ve got a great core of players returning, and we’re confident that we can continue to build on the success we’ve had this season. We can’t wait to get back to work and start preparing for next year.”

For Duke, the loss marked a disappointing end to a season that had shown promise at times. The Blue Devils finished with a 7-6 record and will look to regroup and rebuild in the offseason.

“We’re proud of our team for the way they fought today,” Duke head coach Mike Elko said. “We knew Ole Miss was a tough opponent, and they played a great game. We’ll learn from this experience and use it to motivate us for next season.”
