Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin is beaming with excitement about the future of his program, and for good reason. The Rebels have landed two elite recruits in the class of 2025, and Kiffin believes they have the potential to make an immediate impact.
“We’re thrilled to welcome these two talented young men to our program,” Kiffin said. “They’re not only exceptional athletes, but they’re also high-character individuals who embody the values we’re building here at Ole Miss.”
The two recruits in question are five-star quarterback Jaden Rashada and four-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith. Rashada, a 6-foot-4, 190-pound signal-caller from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is widely regarded as one of the top quarterback prospects in the country. Smith, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver from Tampa, Florida, is a dynamic playmaker with the ability to stretch defenses.
Kiffin is particularly excited about the potential of Rashada, who he believes has the talent and work ethic to become a franchise quarterback.
“Jaden is a special player,” Kiffin said. “He’s got all the physical tools you look for in a quarterback, but what really sets him apart is his intangibles. He’s a leader, he’s got great instincts, and he’s got a tremendous work ethic. We’re confident he’s going to come in and compete for the starting job from day one.”
Smith, meanwhile, is expected to make an immediate impact in the Rebels’ receiving corps. Kiffin praised Smith’s speed, agility, and ball skills, and believes he has the potential to become a go-to target for Rashada and the Ole Miss offense.
“Jeremiah is a dynamic player who can stretch defenses and make big plays,” Kiffin said. “He’s got a great combination of speed, size, and athleticism, and we’re excited to see what he can do in our offense.”
The addition of Rashada and Smith is a major coup for Kiffin and the Ole Miss recruiting staff, and is a testament to the program’s growing reputation as a destination for top talent.
“We’re proud of the progress we’ve made as a program, and we’re excited to see what the future holds,” Kiffin said. “With Jaden and Jeremiah on board, we’re confident we’ve got the pieces in place to compete for championships.”
