Ole Miss football fans, rejoice! The Rebels have made two significant additions to their coaching staff, bolstering their offense with the hiring of wide receivers coach and passing game coordinator George McDonald and tight ends coach Joe Cox.

The additions are a major coup for Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, who has been working tirelessly to assemble a coaching staff that can help the Rebels compete with the best of the best in the ultra-competitive Southeastern Conference (SEC).

“George and Joe are both outstanding coaches who bring a wealth of experience and expertise to our staff,” Kiffin said. “We’re thrilled to have them on board and are confident that they’ll make a significant impact on our offense.”

McDonald, who joins the Rebels after stints at Syracuse, North Carolina State, and the University of Miami, is widely regarded as one of the top wide receivers coaches in the country. He’s known for his ability to develop talented receivers and create explosive passing games.

Cox, meanwhile, comes to Ole Miss after serving as the quarterbacks coach at the University of Georgia. A former quarterback himself, Cox is well-versed in the intricacies of the position and has a proven track record of developing talented signal-callers.

“George and Joe are both great fits for our program,” Kiffin said. “They share our vision for building a championship-caliber offense, and they have the expertise and experience to help us get there.”

As the Rebels prepare to kick off their 2024 season, fans are eagerly anticipating the impact that McDonald and Cox will have on the team’s offense. With these two coaching staff additions, Ole Miss is positioning itself for a major run in the SEC.
