Oxford, MS – The Ole Miss Rebels have made a significant addition to their coaching staff, announcing the hiring of George McDonald as the team’s new wide receivers coach. McDonald, a veteran coach with over two decades of experience, brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Rebels’ offense.

“We’re thrilled to welcome George to the Ole Miss family,” said head coach Lane Kiffin. “He’s an outstanding coach with a proven track record of developing talented wide receivers. We’re confident that he’ll be a great asset to our team and help us take our offense to the next level.”

McDonald comes to Ole Miss after spending the past three seasons as the wide receivers coach at Syracuse. During his tenure with the Orange, McDonald helped develop several talented wideouts, including Taj Harris, who earned All-ACC honors in 2020.

“George is a highly respected coach in the college football world, and we’re excited to have him join our staff,” said Kiffin. “He’s got a great reputation for being a top-notch recruiter and developer of talent, and we’re confident that he’ll be a great fit for our program.”

McDonald’s hiring is a significant coup for the Rebels, who are looking to rebuild their wide receiving corps after the departure of several key players. With McDonald’s expertise and guidance, Ole Miss is hoping to develop a talented and deep group of wideouts that can help propel the team to success in the SEC.
