Oxford, MS – In a move aimed at bolstering the football program’s operational efficiency, Ole Miss Athletics has announced the appointment of Thaddeus Rivers, EdD, as the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Football Operations.

Rivers, a seasoned administrator with a wealth of experience in collegiate athletics, will oversee the day-to-day operations of the Rebel football program. His responsibilities will include managing the team’s logistics, coordinating travel arrangements, and ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations.

“We’re thrilled to have Thaddeus on board,” said Ole Miss Athletics Director, Keith Carter. “His expertise and knowledge of football operations will be invaluable to our program. We’re confident that he’ll help us take our operations to the next level.”

Rivers comes to Ole Miss from the University of Tennessee, where he served as the Associate Athletic Director for Football Operations. During his tenure with the Volunteers, Rivers played a key role in managing the team’s operations, including coordinating travel arrangements, managing the team’s budget, and ensuring compliance with NCAA regulations.

“I’m excited to join the Ole Miss family and contribute to the success of the Rebel football program,” said Rivers. “I’m looking forward to working with Coach Kiffin and the entire athletics staff to ensure that our operations are running smoothly and efficiently.”

Rivers’ appointment is the latest move by Ole Miss Athletics to strengthen its football program. The Rebels have been on the rise in recent years, with four consecutive bowl berths and two New Year’s Six appearances under Coach Lane Kiffin.

“Thaddeus is a highly respected professional in the field of athletic administration,” said Kiffin. “We’re fortunate to have him on our staff, and I’m confident that he’ll make a significant impact on our program.”

Rivers earned his doctoral degree in educational leadership from the University of Tennessee. He is a member of the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and the National Association of Athletic Development Directors (NAADD).

With Rivers at the helm, Ole Miss football operations are poised for even greater success. His expertise and leadership will undoubtedly play a key role in the Rebels’ continued rise to prominence in the world of college football.
