Provo, UT – The BYU Cougars football team is gearing up for a challenging schedule ahead, with matchups against several powerhouse programs, including Arkansas, Kansas, and Cincinnati.

The Cougars, who finished the 2023 season with a 7-5 record, will face their first test on September 2nd when they travel to Fayetteville, Arkansas, to take on the Razorbacks. Arkansas, a member of the Southeastern Conference (SEC), is expected to be a formidable opponent, having finished the 2023 season with a 7-6 record.

Following their matchup against Arkansas, the Cougars will return home to host the Kansas Jayhawks on September 9th. Kansas, a member of the Big 12 Conference, is looking to build on its 2023 season, which saw the team finish with a 6-7 record.

The Cougars will then face their toughest test of the season when they travel to Cincinnati, Ohio, to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats on September 16th. While the Cougars’ schedule is undoubtedly daunting, Sitake is confident that his team has the talent and depth to compete with anyone.

“We’ve got a lot of experience returning on both sides of the ball, and we’re excited to see how our team comes together,” Sitake said. “We know that we’ll face some tough challenges, but we’re ready to put in the work and make a run at a championship.”
