In a major coup for the Georgia Bulldogs, top-ranked quarterback Ryan Montgomery has officially signed with the program. The five-star recruit, widely regarded as one of the best quarterback prospects in the country, chose Georgia over a host of other top programs, including Florida, Alabama, and Clemson.

Montgomery’s decision was announced on Wednesday, as the early signing period for college football got underway. The 6-foot-3, 195-pound quarterback from Florida’s IMG Academy is expected to be an instant impact player for the Bulldogs, who are looking to replace outgoing quarterback Carson Beck.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Ryan to the Bulldog family,” said Georgia head coach Kirby Smart. “He’s an exceptional talent, with a strong arm, quick feet, and a high football IQ. We believe he has the potential to be a game-changer for our program.”

Georgia quarterbacks recruitment was one of the most highly anticipated in the country, with many experts predicting that he would choose Georgia. Despite a late push from Florida, Montgomery ultimately decided to join the Bulldogs, citing the program’s rich tradition of success and the opportunity to play for a coaching staff that has produced numerous top NFL quarterbacks.

“I’m extremely excited to be joining the Georgia Bulldogs,” Montgomery said in a statement. “I believe that Coach Smart and his staff can help me develop into the best quarterback I can be, and I’m looking forward to being a part of a program with such a rich history of success.”

Montgomery’s signing is a major boost for the Bulldogs, who are looking to build on their success from last season. With Montgomery on board, Georgia is expected to be a top contender in the SEC East, and potentially even a national championship contender.

As Montgomery prepares to enroll at Georgia in January and begin his collegiate career, he’s already generating buzz among fans and experts alike. With his impressive physical skills and advanced football IQ, Montgomery is expected to make an instant impact for the Bulldogs.

“Ryan Montgomery is a franchise quarterback,” said ESPN recruiting analyst, Tom Luginbill. “He’s got all the physical tools, and he’s also got the intangibles. He’s a leader, he’s a winner, and he’s got the potential to be a game-changer for the Georgia Bulldogs.”
