Allen Park, MI – The Detroit Lions received a significant boost to their defense on Wednesday as linebacker Alex Anzalone returned to practice for the first time since breaking his forearm in November.

Anzalone, who has been a key contributor to the Lions’ defense this season, suffered the injury in a Week 10 game against the Chicago Bears. He underwent surgery and has been sidelined ever since, but his return to practice marks a significant step in his recovery.

“Alex is a tough guy, and we’re excited to have him back on the practice field,” said Lions head coach Dan Campbell. “He’s been working hard in rehab, and it’s great to see him taking the next step in his recovery.”

Anzalone’s return to practice is a welcome sight for the Lions, who have been dealing with injuries to several key players in recent weeks. The team’s defense has been particularly hard hit, with several starters missing time due to injury.

However, with Anzalone back on the practice field, the Lions are hopeful that he can return to game action soon. The team has two games remaining in the regular season, and Anzalone’s presence would be a significant boost to their defense.

“Alex is a leader on our defense, and his presence is felt when he’s on the field,” said Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn. “We’re excited to have him back, and we’re looking forward to seeing him contribute to our defense again soon.”

Anzalone’s return to practice is also a testament to the hard work and dedication of the Lions’ training staff. The team’s trainers and medical personnel have worked tirelessly to help Anzalone recover from his injury, and their efforts have paid off.

“Alex’s recovery is a credit to our training staff and the hard work they’ve put in to help him get back on the field,” said Campbell. “We’re grateful to have such a talented and dedicated group of trainers and medical personnel working with our team.”
