TRE HARRIS’ OLE MISS CAREER COMES TO AN END: STAR WIDE RECEIVER UNLIKELY TO PLAY AGAIN FOR REBELS DUE.. see… more

Oxford, MS – The Ole Miss Rebels will likely be without one of their top playmakers for the remainder of the season, as star wide receiver Tre Harris is unlikely to play again for the team.

According to sources close to the program, Harris has been dealing with a lingering injury that has kept him sidelined for several weeks. Despite initial hopes that he would be able to return to the field, it now appears that Harris’ Ole Miss career has come to an end.

“Tre has been a valuable member of our team, and we’re going to miss him,” said Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin. “He’s a talented player who has made some big plays for us, and we’re grateful for his contributions to our program.”

Harris, a junior from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, has been one of the Rebels’ top receivers over the past two seasons. He has caught 64 passes for 934 yards and 7 touchdowns in his Ole Miss career, and has been a key target for quarterback Jaxson Dart.

While Harris’ injury is a significant blow to the Rebels’ offense, the team is confident that they have the depth and talent to overcome his loss. Ole Miss has a number of talented young receivers who have been waiting in the wings, and they will be counted on to step up and fill the void left by Harris.

“Tre’s injury is a big loss for us, but we have a lot of confidence in our young receivers,” said Kiffin. “We’ve been developing them all season, and we’re excited to see them step up and make some plays.”

The Rebels will close out their regular season schedule on Saturday with a game against Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl. While Harris will not be able to play in the game, he will be honored along with the team’s other seniors in a pre-game ceremony.

“Tre may not be able to play, but he’s still a big part of our team,” said Kiffin. “We’re going to miss him, but we’re also excited to see him move on to the next chapter of his career.”
