Miami, FL – December 27, 2024 – The Miami Heat have received a significant boost ahead of their highly-anticipated Sunday matchup against the New Orleans Pelicans, with guard Tyler Herro expected to return to the lineup.

Herro, who has been dealing with a right groin issue, missed the Heat’s previous game against the Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday. However, after a few days of rest and recovery, the 23-year-old is ready to return to action.

“I’m feeling good, I’m feeling ready to go,” Herro said after practice on Friday. “I just needed a couple of days to recover and get my body right. I’m excited to get back out there and help my team.”

Herro’s return is a significant boost for the Heat, who have been struggling with injuries to key players in recent weeks. The guard has been one of the team’s most consistent performers this season, averaging 20.5 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game.

The Heat will face a tough test on Sunday against the Pelicans, who have been one of the top teams in the Western Conference this season. However, with Herro back in the lineup, the Heat will be looking to bounce back from their loss to the Nets on Wednesday.

“We’re excited to get back out there and compete,” Herro said. “We know it’s going to be a tough game, but we’re ready for the challenge. We’ve been working hard in practice, and we’re confident that we can come out on top.”

The Heat will be looking to have a full-strength lineup for the first time in several weeks, and will be eager to take advantage of their newfound depth and talent.
