JUST IN:COLLINGWOOD CLUB FINALIZES PLAYING LIST FOR 2025
Melbourne, Australia – The Collingwood Football Club has finalized its playing list for the 2025 AFL Premiership season, following the completion of the Rookie Draft.
The Magpies have added three new players to their list, including ruckman Max Ramsden, midfielder Tom McCallum, and forward Jai Newcombe.
“We are excited to welcome these three talented young players to our list,” said Collingwood General Manager of Football, Graham Wright. “We believe they have the potential to make a significant impact on our team in the years to come.”
Ramsden, 20, is a 203cm ruckman from the Sandringham Dragons. He is known for his athleticism and competitiveness, and is expected to provide support to Collingwood’s number one ruckman, Brodie Grundy.
McCallum, 19, is a 184cm midfielder from the Oakleigh Chargers. He is a prolific ball-winner and is known for his speed and agility.
Newcombe, 20, is a 184cm forward from the Bendigo Pioneers. He is a talented goal-kicker and is known for his pace and agility.
The additions of Ramsden, McCallum, and Newcombe bring Collingwood’s playing list to 44 players.
“We are confident that our list is well-balanced and has the depth and talent to compete with the best teams in the competition,” said Wright.
Collingwood’s playing list for 2025 is as follows:
– Seniors: 28 players
– Rookies: 16 players
The Magpies will begin their pre-season training program in November, ahead of the 2025 AFL Premiership season.
“We are excited to get back to work and start preparing for the 2025 season,” said Wright. “We believe we have the talent and the depth to compete with the best teams in the competition, and we are looking forward to the challenge ahead.”
